IPSentry is designed as an administrative tool.

In order to allow the flexibility and security required when running IPSentry, an assumption is made that IPSentry will be running under a security equivalence with rights to perform the requested tasks.  It doesn't need to explicitly need to be run as "Administrator" - but it does need to be run under an account with adequate rights to perform whatever monitoring tasks are required.  By using an admin account, you eliminate many of the security policy restricts of standard users that will cause strange connection failures.
